Our Services

The Process That Works!

Services and a process that works.

Discovery & Career Exploration

Discovering Potential

We help you find a job you like! We do this through career exploration and a service called "Discovery". This starts with a vocational futures plan where you can invite family, friends and advocates you want on your team. We also set up visits to meet employers to observe jobs and complete short work experiences where you can try out job tasks. We help you decide on a specific job goal that matches your skills, abilities, and interests to be ready to start applying for jobs. We can help you research starting your own business if that is an interest of yours.

Employment Path & Job Training

The Path

These additional services can help you get ready for a job by volunteering, participating in on-the-job training, or learning other job readiness skills such as practicing interviewing, completing a resume & portfolio, or visiting potential employers. This service can be before, after, or part of career exploration and Discovery. It can include helping you find a mentor or a training site.

Job Development, Placement & Retention Services

Developing skills and placement

Once you decide you are ready to find a job, we help you meet employers, apply for jobs & fill out applications. We research employers and find job openings. We set up informational interviews or tours so you can figure out if a job is a good fit before you spend the time applying. We develop relationships with employers to create specialized job tasks you can do, which is called "customized" employment or "job carving". Once hired we are there with you all the way, providing job coaching and staying in touch with your employer to help you succeed. To help you get a job, we give information to employers about tax credits and other benefits of hiring you.

Job Coaching

ACES job coaches are professionals, trained to work with you and your employer to learn your job tasks, succeed at your job & keep your job. We help you maximize your hours and tasks to reach your goals. Job coaching is available for work experiences, on-the-job training, and for as long as you need our help on your job.
